The quality is very high high enough that ontario makes machetes for the us military and the price isnt much more than some of the ones you can buy at the box stores made with metal that wont hold an edge andor bends

The handle is just big enough that someone with size xl hands like me can use both hands for the occasional extra strong swing

The provided cutting edge is not ready for work failed to sever halfinch softwood boxalder weedsaplings but 2 passes across a grinder solved this

However i noticed there were a lot of scratches and white marks on the handle of one of the machete
