We have 2 * tzus and 1 fluffy *. My sofa and love seat are small so one for each is sufficient.
Cons
One out of the three got pulled off and a little chewed. Only thing it does is alert us to when they are playing around the tree and getting into it because we hear the crinkle noise. The foil part is so thin it rips with ease.

My dogs stopped sleeping on the couch at night however when they are really excited about something outside it does not stop them from getting up on the couch to look out the window
