On the learning curve i found that if your meat displaces a large volume the temp can overshoot the setting by a couple of degrees and when it does the pump and heater will stop until the temp drops back down

My only recommendation to the manufacturer would be to provide a more robust instructions manual with pictures that more clearly walk through the cooking process for different types of proteins and desired temperatures for those proteins

About a year ago i accidentally did something that broke the plastic lips that hold the bottom guard in place

I sent customer service an email through amazon asking how much it would be to replace the guard

Some other units seemed like you would spend more time trying to figure them out wifi or bluetooth

The only down side is that the water circulator only runs when the heater is on
