Pros & Cons
Pros
The blade has a coating right to the edge that will help preserve it from rust, but which is easily scratched and removed if your sharpening is careless. Came sharp out of the box and was easy to sharpen. But if you want a beast of a blade that is sha... Read More
The 90° spine is perfect for sparking ferro rods. The carbon steel is easy to keep super sharp, even if may not retain an edge as well as the more brittle stainless. The ferro rod is small but works fine.
Blade length is on the shorter, skinnier side of the happy zone. Less weight isn’t a bad thing in my pack though. Drawbacks are few. This is a robust on steroids, and it's worth using that cliché to make the point.
Plastic handle swell fits my large hand well and comfortable. The palm swell and general design allow you to torque the blade while carving. The grip feels good in the hand.
Cons
Horrible pricing. I recommend not purchasing this unless its under $75, as it will go down that low after multiple price drops. If you unsnap the knife keeper strap, it runs the risk of falling out, so forget about an upside mount on a pack strap.
Could barely pash the simple-straight-cut paper test. Mora, please improve your qc.
