Quality

The quality of the stainless steel is impressive.

I am used to thicker blades and wish this was just maybe as thick as the companion heavy duty knife i also bought of theirs but...  Read More

Just butchered a deer with the mora.

So you're not thrilled with the sheath?

This is another reason why i stick with the fully enclosed belt loop.

Price

The value for the price is incredible.

I bought this knife after reading reviews from hikers who like the price point and its sharpness.

Packaging/appearance

Recieved the knife promptly in good packaging, and man what a knife.

You're not paying for expensive marketing and/or packaging with the mora, so you get more knife for the money.

I finally fastened it to my belt with a little para cord through the clip.

I stayed away from the stainless blades at first because i thought they would not hold a good edge for long.

Competitiveness

Made a kydex sheath so i'm good to go.

I have bought probably a dozen of these morakniv blades in different models.

On a traditional scandi grind the belly and tip is too obtuse.

For the price of one competitor knife i could buy 10 different mora knives that i'm sure would stand up against anything.

You can get a custom kydex sheath for the bushcraft forest on ebay for $20.

One is a fully enclosed belt loop that fits wider belts, but requires the user to undo their belt to attach and remove the sheath from their hip.

The other attachable belt clip is just like the standard belt clip found on the mora companion sheath.

If you don't know what that clip looks like, just do a quick good search for mora companion and your bound to get some good pictures.

I did find that the smaller (companion style) belt loop seems to not accommodate as large of a belt as the clip on the regular companion model though.

This is another reason why i stick with the fully enclosed belt loop.

The sheath itself it's simply a molded plastic sheath and does not have any bells or whistles, just like the standard mora sheaths.

Granted, like all mora knives (with the exception of the new garberg) this model does not have a full tang, and instead has the standard mora rat tail tang.

I will instead bring along a small folding saw to accompany this knife if i know i'm going to have to process a lot of wood.
