Pros

It looks like a toy, but is surprisingly functional. What a gem this thing is. Mora products are always great, and this is no exception.

Add a paracord or leather lace wrist strap through the lanyard hole. The handle to blade width differences make it a little difficult to split wood going lengthwise.

Leather blade cover fits over the sharpened edge perfectly and secures with a snap. Light weight but cut good. Only bad thing is the sheath could have used better quality leather.

Cons

The fiskars 17 splitter destroys this hatchet's performance. Mora swung and missed (sorry) with this one.

I am very pleased with this camping axe

It is well designed and very high quality

Its meant for dead wood about the size of your forearm and even then you should split your wood with the wood lying flat not standing erect

My concern was with the design of the blade inside the handle

Competitiveness

This doesnt happen on my cheaper other brand

However i wanted to love this hatchet like the other morakniv products
