I love the color of olivine gemstones and thought this might do the trick. The color (garnet) is exquisite!
I'm quite picky about my inks, and this one finally worked. Am pleased with this ink and (almost) all of the monteverde inks.
This particular color is on the brown spectrum rather than what i consider noire, but the color is agreeable. The color is rich, yet shades beautifully and flows smoothly. The raven is my favorite bird, and i love watching them.
Even with shipping the price can't be beaten. They make great inks. They care about customer satisfaction.
Cons
Unfortunately the bottle lets the water evaporate. The ink itself seems to be of a poor quality and constantly gunks up in the pen.

A cartridge rollerball like the herbin is lighter shade of the same red simply because its so stingy with the amount it puts down

So the ink arrived olivine 30ml and i couldnt for the life of me get the bottle open even with my jar opening silicone openers and such

In the end i put the bottle upside down in a shallow bowl of hot water just to cover the cap for ten minutes
