Pros
The medium color saturation is rich and vibrant without being too dark. Stunning teal with fuchsia sheen.
Monteverde's fire opal ink is wonderful. The appearance of this ink is very pleasing. It reminds me of pilot’s iroshizuku kon-peki ink in terms of how it performs.
This is the best bottled ink i have ever purchased (and i have a lot) this ink is made in the european union and bottled in usa. It is also not terrible to clean out of my parker like other more permanent inks can be.
It produces beautiful shading when used with the correct combination of nib and paper quality. The combination of ink and nib is silky smooth and very pleasant to write with. I have this inked up in 3 pens currently and it's a smooth operator for sure... Read More

Amazon sent me canyon rust instead of fireopal for 3 of my 4 bottles. Canyon rust is a type of rust. It has an offensive odor.

No fountain pen ink is waterproof unless specifically stated so this will run if you get it wet

It stains my hands noticeable more than montblanc ink does so be careful or use gloves to prevent staining your fingers when refilling ink or changing nibs
