Cons

Apparently not all dvi is the same. There are pins around the flat pin that are not present on my monitor. Doesn't have dip switches as advertised.

The quality of the unit looks to be solid and well made.

I bought this in the slight hope that i would not need a converter to change component to dvi, but clearly not because it did not work.

The dvi-i connection has 4 prongs next to the "minus" sign on the connector (2 above and 2 below).

I'm not 100% it was because the moniter would not except it but almost always a simple adapter like this one is not flawed on arrival.

I'm fairly tech savvy, but i didn't realize the difference between dvi-i and dvi-d.
