Pros

Simple to use. Inspect at 24, 48, and 72 hours. Test kit works but you need to read and follow the instructions. Convenient that they send a bag with the box to send in the sample for testing, if one would be so inclined.

This mole killed my dog respiratory issues. This is the only product i trust, other than having a professional mold remediation company come in which is infinitely more expensive.

Cons

The package itself states that you need a minimum of two of these to test your home. They only send you one in a package which makes it kind of irrelevant. They *really* want to sell you on sending this thing in to their lab for testing.

It's just a potato dextrose agar kit with a sealed q-tip, but the petri dish isn't even sealed, so you're already ripe for contamination from the very start. The second petrie dish was cracked and broken.

I left the dish out in open air for an hour as directed closed and taped it and let it incubate

Mine didn’t show anything until 4 days later and at that point the entire tray was covered in mold

However the 40 lab test per each kit is very expensive

I purchased another brand from hardware store and it showed all the molds

If you want to do multiple rooms a local testing lab will even be cheaper and much more informative
