First and foremost these are not casual loafers you wear to work on friday

The sole is very grippy and has nice vented tread that will not slip but it is soft so will not offer much protection over rocks or gravel and certainly not much support if you plan on doing much walking in them

Comfortable for shot distances no arch support so this is more of a sport shoe than something to walk around in
