First of all i knew this lamp was electric and the dimensions are small

You put the glass globe on top of the base with the small hole facing down you take the extender tool to use to screw down the washer unless your fingers are tiny enough to get a strong grip through the top opening the washer goes with the flanged side down so the extender tool fits over it and you slowly turn the tool around until the washer is tight

I also cannot figure how to set the glass base fully onto the base so it is not secure
