The cam action in the handle moves the rod straight up and down

They installed ok but wouldnt flush right

The flapper wouldnt come up high enough to flush not matter how short or long the chain or what position i rotated the arm

There was some black gasket that came with it which would not fit onto my toilet so i chucked it and it still works fine
