Even in other gundam ovas as well you only see bits and pieces of flashbacks or short dialogue alluding to the chaotic events

For instance in origin you see gihren with no remorse order any neighboring colony not in line with zeons views destroyed and one being infamously used in an attempt to destroy federation hq in jaburo

It really is no wonder in my mind why the war couldnt afford in more ways than one to last longer than a full year for federation and zeon
