Pros & Cons
Pros
The mks lambda pedal is much lighter than any other platform pedal i've experienced. The mounting is the standard 9/16 by 20 so it should fit on any bike crank.
I ride very hard and do long endurance rides (30-50-70-100miles) with these and they take a pounding without flinching. They are just the right size, have built in reflectors and work very well with whatever type of shoe i'm wearing. They're solid, ye... Read More
They look great also. They also take paint very well with minimal prep. My only complaints 1) they don't appear to be rebuildable, 2) and i wish they were a touch wider.
These pedals are very comfortable when biking in sneakers or sandals. The pedal has just the right amount of grip for my vans sneakers. When i use these pedals with sneaker-like shoes, however, their best qualities manifest themselves in longer and ro... Read More
They spin great, the bearings are smooth. They are of high quality, very smooth and serviceable. Very quiet bearings, and wide footprint for using my ee wide shoes.
Cons
After only six rides (approx) the left pedal has a significant bend. The outside of the pedal droops. The ball of the foot has only a small area to push on.
Highlights
Quality
Everyone says the quality is long lasting too so win win all the way
Product as described and delivered as promised
While the build quality is up to the excellent standard mks is known for these just dont offer very good grip
With the stiffer shoe it seems to float more on top of the grip holes
Packaging/appearance
5 mph as i am able to get more force on the pedal on the downstroke and actually drag back on the upstroke
Pedals were smooth out of the box good sized platform grippy
Competitiveness
Mks has been making highquality durable pedals for a long long time
Damn near the best platform pedals on the market
Metatarsal problems forced me out of my clipless pedals
Ive only used them for a few weeks now so well see how long they maintain their grippiness and i will probably update if anything changes
