It is not quilted but you have to look closely to see it is embossed

The coverlet color was true to appearance in picture the reversible feature is very nice it washed and dried well the embossed design is very pretty but the design is not centered

If you have the coverlet hang symmetrically the pattern is off center which looks a bit odd

This is less obvious using the blue side of the coverlet it is very noticeable when using the white side
