It appears as though it is disintegrating from the inside. It has a pointed tip, not a chisel tip. If i lightly touch 1/16 thick solder to the tip, nothing happens.

    The acid in flux solder reacts so harshly at this temp that it literally eats the tip up within a few hours

    The only issue i have a big one for me is that the tip is nonstandard there is no spade tip available for use with lead caming
