Timer panel isn't back lit but we don't preset for auto start so no problem there. I am the only coffee drinker in the home and it is the perfect size for me in the mornings. Tap once for time, tap twice for set brew, green set, red brew.

Easy to use and program after reading instructions. I really like the sleekness and the fact it is rather light in weight. Issue resolved by putting a piece of non skid shelf material under it.
