It is very easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble. The battery operation (we use rechargeable) makes it easy to remix each time we bring it out.
Cons
It leaks. Sorry aerogarden, hire better guys in product r&d.

Unfortunately no matter how well i clean it after about a year it stops working
