This company was immediately responsive to my complaint that my first device did not have a backlight offering a replacement or refund

They immediately replied asking me to press the function key and f6 at the same time

The backlight works great and stays on until i press the function key and f6 buttons again or i turn the device off

Interestingly i had not returned the first device yet and tried the same technique but on that one the backlight would only come on for a few seconds and turn off
