The x45 is a better item mainly because it comes with 8gb of ddr4 soldered onto its motherboard and it does not come with emmc onboard

The performance is just better with 8gb of ram in windows 10 as even just browsing the web with a modern browser looking at current multimedia rich pages actually uses a lot more memory than you would expect

In defense of awow i paid about 100 more for the x45 even as both on amazon deals so the more modest awow builds are awesome at their pricepoint too especially if you want a totally silent pc they are fanless

I tried to install a second msata ssd one i had from an older build but the x45 did not recognize the ssd as storage

The dimensions of the x45 are smaller than the footprint of my older nucs which is nice when vesa mount on the back of my lg monitors is sort of close to the cable connectionsthe included beelink vesa bracket is nice and the x45 fits very well on the back of my 4k display which it drives just fine at full resolution

The x45 streams video from amazon and netflix very well at highest resolutions over wireless
