Pros

This cable seems to do the trick nicely. The picture quality is excellent. No fuzziness around the edges.

Hdmi cord works great for surface 2 laptop dock and imac. Needed cord for second screen for photo editing on imac.

Cons

Hdmi connector is so loose that every time bump or slightly move my laptop, the external monitor goes black. Would not connect at 4k, would only connect at 1080p@60hz.
