Quality of picture is good enough for gaming but for any textbased work aka coding in basic wordprocessing a dedicated monitor andor higher end converter would be a better option

Prior to purchasing this unit i had to return 2 converters from other manufacturers simply because they did now work at all

The only con i had so far was that when you leave it hooked up to the power for sometime and use it when it gets very hot the screen will sometimes go out and come back after a couple seconds

Ps2 games work just fine but the upconversion prevents ps1 games from displaying you can still hear sound just no video

Unfortunately i do not think the xbox itself could output the correct signal to work with the hdmi converter set to 1080p but it does work with the hdmi converter set to 720p
