First the software is written in visual basic rather than a programming language so its absolutely windows only

You can buy a serial to usb dongle but you will still need to configure a com port

The documentation is a bit sketchy and writing your own programs is fairly timeconsuming for example the help file contains no helpjust the about page and the release notes about what is new in this release

As for the product itself it gets the job done but feels very cheap

Its light which is nice but it feels flimsy too dont like the cheap plastic much and i was having trouble getting battery compartment open still no success but havent tried again
