Mind hunter seems to be written only to try and capitalize on the success of whoever fights monster's success. This book, only hints at those things, only drops small morsels merely as annecdotes to this purely autobiographical work.
Douglas mentions that we can all be fooled.

I found my self familiar with the cases discussed in the book to criminal minds and minhunter on netflix
The insight into how the practice came into being each step and its contributor along with the case studies was really fascinating
I was obviously lucky because i’m still here but my urgency to understand has never really ended or been satisfied
I disagree with the reviews saying he just talks about himself duh

By the way even though i teach at the high school level i would not recommend the book for young readers as the material is highly adult content as is the netflix series

I skipped the parts when douglas talks about himself so much and thats pretty much the first 100 pages

Knowing that this was written by someone who is not an author by trade i expected the writing to be difficult
