Might just be because the hinge is new and snug but the thumb tab is not big enough to really open it up i end up having to use a spoon to lift the lid from the opening

The pot didnt burn or take on scorch marks

This one never stops gurgling because of the design flaw so you cant tell by the sound when it is done

Also i was not wild about how the top opens as the steam burns your fingers sometimes when you try to open the top
