Pros & Cons

Pros

With a 6ah battery it is well balanced and allows me to get my front yard trees pruned on one charge. Quality chain and lube when in use saves the battery. The only setback is, it doesn't come with a battery or charger.

Bought for clearing trails after storms. Great addition to your shed. Perfect for someone whose job is full time pruning.

It cuts fairly quickly and smoothly. I use this for brush (like sumac) and low limbs. Cuts great on green limbs but prone to bouncing on old, hard wood.

Oiling system works well. Oiler works great and original chain without sharpening is still on my saw and cutting well after 4 months. Light and safer than a running gas chainsaw when high up.

Milwaukee 8-inch pruning chainsaw cuts through oak and mesquite like butter. Purchased this saw to girdle, treat and kill buckeye trees. It's sold seperate and almost the same cost as the saw.

Cons

It's just not designed for burly hands. The trigger presses into a kind of recess that won't allow full depression.

Quality

Very satisfied with the quality and performance

Very powerful hand held saw does not use a lot of battery and is super handy to have around

Chain dulls fastput a better chain on and it is a monster

M18 battery ran the saw for about 4 hours on a charge

Price

I gave it four stars because it doesn’t come with a battery and the batteries are a little pricey for their brand

Its sold seperate and almost the same cost as the saw

Although it costs a little more it is definitely worth the price

A bit pricey and it might take your arm off if you dont pay attention but it will cut through a 434 bough in 15 seconds

Packaging/appearance

Since this wont get regular use it was nice to have a sturdy box with protective packaging inside to safely store the saw

There was enough room in the box to store the saw as well as a milwaukee charger and two batteries that i bought at the same time

Competitiveness

Ive placed over 200 amazon orders since 2017 and the milwaukee hatchet stands out as one of my favorites

I tried a less expensive brand that was more like a toy than a chainsaw and it hardly made it through a 2 diameter branch

It is so nice to just use it rather than fighting to start my name brand gas chain saw

I prefer this to the full sized milwaukee m18 chainsaw
