Reel is very well built, sturdy. The duel arm is very sturdy. Only dislike is hose fills up entire reel.

Cut off the black plastic protector at the end of the hose

I have the 12” hose which does take up a bunch of space on the reel but doesn’t contact anything

Pull some hose out and lock the reel

Now unlatch the reel and let the hose wind through the “window” of rollers and stop

Now hold the hose end against the reel and rotate the whole assembly around one or two turns 1 worked for me
