It is not lightweight, but it is very well made hence the weight. Not fully water proof, but water resistant. No leaks so far. The laser cut version is still going strong after eight years.
Bought to carry camera, telephoto lens binoculars, monopod and other accessories. Well thought out and organised pack. Little compartment is perfect for chargers & things like that.
Cons
One for the barracks but not for the field. The waist strap keeps coming off at the end where it attaches to the bag. I am now unable to return to amazon as just 8 weeks of use have passed.

Save your shoulders the pain and forget about the small pack

With just 10kg of kit the shoulder straps of the small pack are too skinny and are positioned badly

I’d also avoid the temptation of going laser cut too this frays quickly and is much harder to weave than the traditional pals webbing pattern found on this version

At first when i received i though the outer coating definitely wouldnt hold up but i was definitely wrong i dont exactly treat this back like a valuable item so if it was going to wear it wouldve by now
