Pros

This module does what it supposed to but it runs rather hot. I have two similar sfp+ modules both 10g rg45 plugged into mikrotik crs305-1g-4s+in both running at 10gbps speed. Good module otherwise.



Cons

While it auto-negotiates a 2. G link, downlink throughput is limited to approximately 1g. Uplink gets 2.

I did not test to see temps without the fan but i would recommend anyway to prevent any potential damageoutages since its like 15 extra

    It does no obvious harm but you probably dont want to run too many of them in the same device

    This is likely why mikrotik recommends spacing and staggering them so it must be a known issue

    Wont do jumbo frames at gigabit but if you dont care then theyre okay
