Used this switch to replace a broken switch on a 40 amp trolling motor (uses a 50 amp fuse) less then 1 minute use the switch smelt like melted plastic and burning.

My switch went defective due to improper installation on my part and not from the 12 volts that i tried to run through it

Now the seller contacted me first and mentioned that they cover warranty and are sending me a new switch even though i did not ask for one like how amazing is this seller

The solenoid is defective and to remove it i would have to take out the engine

To make a long story short when i tried it the 12 volts never made it to the starter upon investigation i found that the switch is defective

However the switch which is rated for a huge 75 amps is only rated for 5
