Pros

There are two hoses, and a smaller tubing that can connect to the back and allow gravity or the pump to do its thing. It works and has a pump to dump water into a slop sink or floor drain.

For us, the trade-off of background noise for a dry house is a no brainer! Basement is now at least 25% less spooky and 50% less smelly.

This unit pulls a lot of air to achieve 50+ pints - which it does! The moister issues are 100% being resolved by this unit. It has a built-in humidistat that allows me to set my desired humidity level and then let the dehumidifier do its job. It also ...  Read More

Cons

Do not buy anything from midea. Rip off. The bucket is very, very small. It's the smallest bucket of all the dehumidifiers i've owned.

Never gives me the confidence it is draining properly or that it would not overflow at the slightest malfunction. I have it in a finished room that would not be forgiving if this unit overflows or just does not work.

The unit was only used for three months of each year and was stored in a cool, dry, indoor space the remaining time.

I like that model and its features but the same model now costs 50 more than it did less than two years ago

So i decided to search for a different brand and came across this one from midea

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Its definitely quieter than the frigidaire and i never thought the frigidaire was loud

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This one also has a pump like the frigidaire but it pumps from a few inches from the top of the tank instead of the bottom of the tank like the frigidaire

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

That means the midea will always have about 23 of a tank full of water whereas the frigidaire always emptied itself

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I dont really like that about the midea but i suppose that could prevent clogs
