Also a good reference for how to get started on implementing a role or feature and although the books written for server 2008 many of the steps are the same in server 2012 and 2012 r2

This book is great at explaining everything but you will not be able to pass the the microsoft exams by reading the book alone

Also i recommend installing windows server 2008 r2 as a virtual machine or on a standalone machine to practice with and run through the exercises alongside the book
