Pros
The microscope stage has two slide holding arms that clamp the slide or specimen against the stage. Comes with 10 prepared slides and a small specimen kit for preparing your own slides. My 10 year old loves it.
Cons
Microscope is cheap plastic with glass slides that can easily break and easily cut. Instructions pertain to function only and tell you how and where to insert the batteries.

Slides were broken and box had the broken glass in it

The light switch can be slide from off to bottom light to top light but no settings for both leds to be active at the same time

I took off one star because young kids can easily damage the primary lens they should have made the arm slightly shorter or adjustable so it can be adjusted to not strike the primary lens

Another issue is the top mounted light is fixed in position so most of the time it will strike the rear part of the stage and not illuminate the subject or specimen being viewed under the microscope

Once you open the device out of the box it feels so light so first thing you think is this feels cheap

Despite being made of plastic the microscope does work fairly well but there is a learning curve on finding the view

With a price of 25 at the time of this review this would make a good low cost gift to introduce a child to science
