It's lightweight, super sharp, cleans easily and has a comfortable non-slip grip. Microplane products are sharp as heck and well manufactured.

This is the only way i mince garlic. This makes beautiful and uniform radish slices very quickly. It’s a very good product for grating small amounts of cheese, veg, chocolate, whatever.

This is the only shredder i use now. It’s much more handy and takes up a lot less room than an old fashioned, bulky box grater. Pop in the dishwasher and cleanup is simple.

While moving into our home a few years ago somehow our box grater and onehandled cheese graters were lost

Since then i’ve been dragging out the trusty old’ cuisinart food processor when i’ve needed to shred cheese… which is a quite literally a pain i have severe ddd and creates a lot of unnecessary clean up

With a box grater you need to have a stable surface so you can grate over a plate or paper towel but you still have to keep it stable with one hand

I don’t have the strength i used to have so i’m thankful for this

You might want to use a cut proof glove for grating or at least pay very close attention especially if you’re accustomed using an older style grater

I don’t put mine into the dishwasher because i don’t place my expensive knives in there either

It might be fine to do this once in a while but i still don’t since the high heat and detergent chemicals are not exactly the best for sharp blades
