In fact im quite happy with the way it represents male vocals and music with larger string instruments

Installing the grill with the included cloth lining also softens them a bit

They are installed in contact with my fiberglass attic insulation and i think this helps with the base response

The tonal balance is perfect and sound way better than some of my friends setup with inceilings that cost 510 times these

I can wholeheartedly state that these are just as good if no better than the monoprice ones

For a speaker that i want to sit down and pay attention to thats ok but for something that will be playing in the background i would prefer a smoother sound that doesnt grab your attention
