Pros
This is a nice little straight key on a solid, heavy base.
The volume and pitch of the tone are adjustable. It works fine with either a 9v battery or a 12v dc adapter.
heavyweight and sturdily built. It is alot of bang for the buck.
Cons
Dead on arrival. Tried a couple different batteries and adjusted key settings to confirm, but no dice. It makes very distorted dit-dahs, one dit sounds like two.

The price is to high though but since nobody else make these they can charge what they want

I sent it back to receive the missing piece and i got it back in the mail and the machine was assembled perfectly
Mfj replaced the spring no questioned asked very quickly
Packaging/appearance
A tiny little spring that fell on the floor so watch out when opening the package
Competitiveness
If you can find one cheaper than 70 grab it it is better than nothing to do code practice
They should sell just the oscillator box by itself and the user hooks up their favorite key

However when powered with a not included 9v battery the tone quality and continuity of the oscillator is subpar

Fortunately it has a 12v dc port for connecting to a standard ac adapter not included which improves performance greatly
