The studs i use have a lip on the * and there is not enough clearance to get the tool around the stud + track. The tabs are not bent over by the tool, resulting in an insecure or non-existent connection.

But keep in mind other trades electrical plumbing or hvac while drilling or cutting studs the studs will come detached
