Pros & Cons
Pros
These openings, if you don't leave the coverings in, are big enough for some other critters to take the peanuts out. Keeps the blue jays out. The previous feeder was being devoured by these little critters.
It's durable all right. It's metal, so it can't be chewed and broken. This is the most durable squirrel feeder i've been able to find.
Squirrels love this feeder, and so do my husband & i. The squirrels give it two thumbs up!
The plastic bits are sturdy and snugly fitting and can't be lifted out because the roof gets in the way. It seems to keep our inquisitive raccoons out.

Competitiveness
Granted its on the higher price side but its money well spent
