Pros
Not too much of a loss, but definitely worth mentioning. Many fans detest this game for its mind screw ending, but i personally like it. All 3 of these games are superb.
The value you get for it's ridiculously low price is unfathomable. Since the first game is very hard to find 10 dollars for it is an amazing price for a new copy. Devil may cry and grand theft auto!
The gameplay is hugely different. The first game is not immensely long, its just that the cutscenes are very long and in depth for the story.
The redesigned cases for all three mgs's give it something a little more unique, and all the discs are one color, which is a nice touch. None of the 4 discs have any scratches! Just minor scuffs on the cases from time and molecules of dust on the disc... Read More

I just wish someone woulda told me that 35 dollars ago. They are rehashed, dressed up versions of 1980's video games. None of the discs would definitely not recommend.

Is according to the price paid
Metal gear solid is a great game and the 3 pack is a great price
So my advice is to do a little shopping you may be able to find it at a better price
Packaging/appearance
The other 2 games are just icing on the cake
Competitiveness
If you liked any metal gear or just want to fill in the blanks in the story before playing mgs 4 this is a definate must buy
This set is slightly unusual in that the games themselves appear slightly different from the standalone storebought versions

If you have solely played the 4th metal gear then you really are short changing yourself with what has happened leading up to an impressive end

However the actual copy of mgs3substance was a two disc set and it included a second disc called persistence

The first game of the tree does not recognize the ps2 8mb memory card so i can not save the game
