But i must admit that at first i was puzzled about how to mount the guard onto the tool and discovered that the guards opening has to be turned facing the back of the unit to slip it onto the receiver and then it is rotated by hand into the forward facing position until it positively locks

I intentionally bought the model with the switch that does not always stay on because i use it in confined spaces and wanted something that would stop if it hit something that it shouldn’t
