Pros
The knife is big enough for the gnarliest tasks, but performs beautifully at detail work. I do a lot of prep work in the kitchen and this knife has been a welcome help. It’s my go-to knife for when i want to feel like a badass chef.
Many serious cooks think that wusthof trident or henckels make the finest german knives. The blade is wider than the usual german knives but it doesn't compromise usability.
With regular steeling, this baby maintains an edge well. Would recommend to a friend, coworker. Company is also supportive of me on social media reposting my posts!
It comes razor sharp. It has a 15 degree edge and is a 58-59 on the rockwell hardness scale.
Cons
The only thing it does well is whack off the ends of corn cobs so we can microwave them in their husk. The biggest disappointment of this purchase is that i have to listen to my significant other complain about the knife every time she uses it.

Competitiveness
These knives are very similar to wusthof trident but from my experience they are definitely better
I will buy more messermeister knives in the future
I chose this over wusthof henckels or shun and would do it again
I’ve owned the meridian elité for a few years now my previous chef knife was also a messermeister a 10” park place

Its as if when they stamp the writing on the side the ink doesnt seem evenly spread so the writing looks splotchy
