Pros
Smart plug allows you to control your home appliances and electronics remotely. Only downside is the switches are bulky so it’s difficult to plug something in next to them. Would highly recommend for adding dumb fixtures to a smart home.
It's chunky but so are the others. An affordable brand with acceptable quality. Delivered very promptly and in good condition.
The plug's compatibility with apple homekit is great. Plug feels well made, it has a switch to turn on/off without the need of the smartphone.
Google home requires a meross account to link, but once it is done, the connection to this ecosystem is also flawless. Just scan the qr code on the device from the home app to add.
Cons
The smart switch frequently blocks the other plug in the powerpoint meaning it takes up an entire powerpoint. The 'off after x amount of minutes when turning the device on' in the meross app doesn't work. Bought 4 units, 1 works.
The one closest to my wifi router regularly loses wifi connection. Turning off at the power point and back on sometimes fixes it, sometimes you have to delete and reset then reinstall the device and since they fail to connect at least 6/10 times you t... Read More
