Live my razar esp with aggressive blade like feather. This one is sufficiently aggressive and it's easy to alter the blade angle.
This two-piece razor is easier to manage, and the shave provides a nice balance.
The razor's spiral design makes it easily slip and rotate in your hand. The handle isn't too long to maneuver around the face. They call this a long handle but it is really is quite manageable.
Shaving becomes a relaxed ritual instead of a dreaded chore. Everything seems smoother, and a better shave, even with same blades. Blade is held flawlessly in place and tracks consistently.
Take any shave gel and apply a thin layer. The gel provides glide while the cream provides cushion.
Cons
Reviewer says it breaks in an irreparable way. It's a bit of a concern as soap and scum accumulates in this rough unfinished metal surface area. Very poorly made by a company known for making quality razors.

Competitiveness
For anyone that might be a little newer to using safety razors the merkur 38c is honestly a great choice
The merkur 38c is my third safety razor
Compared to the merkur 23c this razor is even more mild probably on the absolute mild end of the aggressiveness scale
If youve had a bad experience with other cheaper razors give this razor a try before going back to the expensive multiblade units
