Pros
The gillette cassette razor is for an everyday close shave. Then it's smoother. Good for beginners as well as experienced shavers. With a superior blade this is a very effective razor, which shaves very close with a couple of passes.
The merkur 34c is not just a fabulous razor. It is super enjoyable. It’s not too aggressive for a beginner. Great product, great seller.
Cons
It flakes away on the corners of the razor revealing some cheap black metal.

You cant bear the german steel and quality its super simple and easy to use for me at least
Price
I had considered jumping ship to the merkur 34c but was always put off by the price
Competitiveness
Combined with a proraso brush and shave soap with astra blades i get consistently excellent results
Super cheap compared to the fancy exspensive multiblade contraptions sold in stores
I always use taylors or gf trumper sandlewood shaving creams and astra blades and are much better quality than pro raso and gillette etc

Can get 100 blades for less than £10 cant believe ive spent over 20 years using plastic disposables which are inferior and so wasteful

There is no need for a long handle in my view as it is all done with finger tips

Its gone up im price by £10 since i bought it in july 2019

The handle is short so if youre used to using a longer handled one i suggest getting a different shaver
