Pros & Cons
Pros
I'm not sure where i will send it for sharpening but if it only lasts one season i will have gotten my money's worth. I have two curved sickles that are heavier duty. Ask a question on how to sharpen this tool.
It's lightweight, easy to use, and enables cutting tall grass and weeds with ease. Dragging it through the vines more than slashing worked best in tight areas. We have a gas powered * wacker but usually this is easier to use and no noise!
Works really well. Works like a charm. It's quite satisfying.
Cons
Cheap lightweight wooden handle and a joke of a blade. The only positive is that it’s very lightweight and a good size. However, the sickle blade is completely parallel to the handle, making it very ineffective.
Highlights
Quality
I’m giving it 4 stars not because it’s the highest of quality but because of the quality at its price
Unlike the powertool stringtype trimmerthis works even when the grass is wet
Price
Advantages include being more precise and 120th the price
That being said it’s totally worth it’s price
Packaging/appearance
This tool is very light easy to wield and razor sharp right out of the package
I am using it to trim the thorns of my palm trees and cut off the inflorescences
If you need to get some aggression out take it out on the weeds

This opened my eyes to tomita and other japanese brands
