Pros

It works well for me focusing my 250lb english mastiff while walking. It’s great for teaching leash walking skills (utilizing leash pressure) great for taking my big dogs to the groomer. I have a 2-year old labrador/shepherd dog that is too energetic ...  Read More

They wash so nicely and last forever. It is very durable and easy to hold. Only downside is that i wish the two pack came in other color options.

Mendota slip leashes are my everyday goto! If you bought this leash for what it offers, it is as described. Based on the recommendation of our dog trainer.

Cons

The leash is comfortable to hold, and yet choke out a strong 'puller' dog. The only reason this gets two starts is because it's the wrong size for my small headed 50 lbs hound mix.

Light and flimsy. Ulky and difficult to adjust easily. Too slippery. I have to wrap it around my hand otherwise it slips out of my hand.

No big deal if the dog is trained but makes it more challenging to control a dog youre trying to keep from getting distracted by other dogs squirrels etc

It is only made in 4 ft and 6 ft lengths

Does not pull nearly as much and with some training he walks next to me with no zig zagging back and forth

I highly recommend anyone seeking a dog trainer to learn to properly use the slip lead because you can hurt your dog if you use this product wrong

That new mendota leather tab is supreme

Not sure why others have had this issue maybe from letting the dog leash drag or possibly from the dog chewing or maybe i’m just lucky

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I will say that if your dog chews on the leash a lot it may not last long and you may benefit from a leash with more durable nylon
