Granddaughter upgraded from a 3/4 violin to this 4/4. Granddaughter loves it! This violin albeit 1/4 is beautiful.

It's not only purple--it sparkles! This is endearing to my daughter, who will get it when i get mine back. Definitely a brighter sound than my mellow old friend.

Stick pine sap (rosin) helps the bow to play sounds from the strings. Prepare the rosin with sandpaper or an emery board. For beginners, use something hard like a screwdriver to scratch up your rosin.

Cons

Starting on an instrument like this does not give a beginner a fair chance at succeeding on the instrument. The bows i’ve seen do not work, the instrument won’t stay in tune, the bridge lacks curvature, and it’s poor craftsmanship.

I loosen the strings barley so i can move the bridge around and they all come undone and the pegs almost fall out. They untwist as soon as you set them so i have to rosin them up significant and then i use brute force to shove them in the hole hoping ... Read More

Parts are flimsy cheap plastic. Rosin was cracked and spilled all over my carpet. Zipper on case very cheap and did not open well.

Packaged was delivered amazingly and everything on the inside was packaged sage and tight and violin looks brand new and sounds great

Case and violin came as described with all accessories

Came with a decent case spare bridge a bow cheap rosin and two extra sets of strings

Got for a gift it comes with case and extras looks gorgeous but i don’t know that much about violins
