Will depend on how rough you are with the computer but they are more substantial than i thought from the online photos

I work with metal and these should help keep shavings and dustdebris out of the important bits
To remove it press directly backwards on the tab holding it to the screen right next to the edge and the tab will pop off the screen

Not very easy to install watch your finger nails nor removed so follow directions carefully so that you wouldnt have to remove and reinstall like i did

I like the case but the keyboard protector does not fit well
