Pros & Cons
Pros
The soft mallet (beater) makes the perfect bass note on the cajon. The response of the pedal is good, but i can't really hit it fast, need to practice more.
Great construction, solid base, great cable placement, sturdy cable as well. Construction is very durable and appears to stand the test of time.
The pedal comes with 2 small allen wrenches and 1 lug wrench. Comes with allen (hex) wrenches firmly tucked under the foot pedal lever.
Cons
The pedal is very loud and clanky - with a metal on metal sound. I am pretty sure it's something not hard to fix/calibrate, but i couldnt figure it out right there.
Buyer beware and good luck. Backside of the cable fitting was broken. Will try to get cable replacement next.
Highlights
Quality
The built quality is very good high quality
I am extremely happy with the pedal
For some reason the mount for my cajon makes pedal not flush with the floor
Just got this but can see the quality and potential already
Packaging/appearance
This pedal did the job right out of the box
The gibraltar pedal has the cable coming out the side
Competitiveness
I highly recommend this over than other brands
Its wellmade relatively easy to set up and doesnt come apart into a whole bunch of pieces those are all a plus
Im not a professional cajon player by any measure but i am an amateur basement enthusiast
